# POST /api/items

## Parameters

| `title` | String | no | Optional Item title |

| `unit_type` | String | no | Optional Unit type |
| `rate` | Number | no | Optional Item rate |
| `show_in_client_portal` | Number | no | Optional Show in client portal (1 or 0) |
| `created_by` | Number | no | Optional RISE user ID. Default: 1. Use for proper attribution. |
